However colored diamonds do exist and come in pink, red, yellow and even black. Clarity describes quality of the stone. If you come across large stones at a low price it is usually because the clarity is inferior.

As you can see, engagement ring filigree work is not the only detail to consider when shopping for this type of jewelry. In addition to the ring style and diamond details you should also think about your price range. The rule of thumb when choosing an engagement ring is two months salary. However many couples don't always adhere to this and go over or under this guideline. It all depends on how much you choose to spend. Some couples begin with a small diamond that is affordable and trade up over the years to larger stones.
